In my dreams, teaching in the year 2050 will be founded on 3 c’s:
Care – Creativity – Connection.
Let’s call them the Super C’s!
The principles of the super C’s would guide educational practices. Technology would be in a supporting role. It could take care of the mundane, the laborious, the technical roles needed in society. In schools, technology could hold information, perform tasks needed to help schools function. Students would focus on learning how to use their creative powers in meaningful ways that supported society and the planet.
Care- for self and others. Compassion. Acting with intent and awareness.
Creativity- dynamic, meaningful learning that encourages innovation, artistic expression, risk taking.
Connection- education and technology should serve to connect people, not isolate them.
